Over the past year the studio has grown so much and to all the staff there…….thank u xoxo. The hot yoga classes are my favourite!!! I wish I could rate you higher lol

— Kerri D.

I love the atmosphere of De La Sol Yoga Studios! The teachers are all wonderful and it has truly become like a second home to me! I love that this studio has become a part of my days, almost every day ❤️

— Caitlin P.

If you are new to yoga and considering starting, then this is the place for you a short email explaining that I was a little apprehensive because I was new and male and they made me understand that this was a welcoming environment and broke down which classes are most friendly for people who are new to yoga so that I could feel comfortable choosing classes the best fit my schedule. They have an amazing introductory offer for unlimited yoga and I am so happy that I have started taking yoga. I am a Welder by trade and if I had started doing yoga a long time ago, I would’ve saved a lot of time and money, going to chiropractors, massage therapist and physiotherapist.

De La Sol is a fantastic studio with a large variety of classes and instructors who put a lot of effort into designing them. The studio is clean and has a lot of great amenities. I'd definitely recommend it!

— Madison F.

Loved the class and loved the studio. The studio is huge and has all the amenities you could wish for - mats to borrow, complimentary tea, lots of props and lockers that come with a lock to borrow. The staff were amazingly friendly and the class was a perfect mix of a flow with some relaxing restorative yoga at the end. I particularly liked the breathing meditation midway through. An all round lovely experience.”

Beginner Friendly Classes

Yoga for Absolute Beginners

For students who have never tried yoga before and are apprehensive about just jumping into a class, we’ve got you covered! Join us in this once-a-month class to learn all the basics about yoga, what to expect in a classroom, common poses and move through your first sequence of poses. Our experienced teachers will guide you in this class that leaves space for conversation and questions. Everyone was a beginner once, and it is never too late to start! Class will be offered in the hot room a few times a year as well.

Restorative

A gentle and nurturing practice that uses props, such as bolsters and blankets, to support the body in deep relaxation. Postures are held for longer periods of time in order to stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system and to encourage the body and mind to experience peaceful surrender.

Breathwork & Meditation

Explore different meditation and breathing techniques for you to use both on and off the mat in this unique 45 minute class, offered both in person and virtually. Join us to practice, learn, and find control and calm with the most powerful tools available: the breath and mind!

Yin (Yin & Meditate)

Immerse yourself in the blissful practice of yin yoga. Explore a deep stretch as you target your fascia (connective tissue) to increase flexibility by moving to your own personal edge through a series of postures, resting into each shape anywhere from 3 to 5 minutes. Deeply release tension as you stretch the connective tissue of your hips, pelvis and spine.
Some classes taught with a meditation component.

Stretch, Relax, Restore

Settle into the hot room for an hour of relaxation and restoration for the body and soul. Relieve stress and tension as the heat stimulates deep muscle release and detoxification of the body amidst a peaceful atmosphere helping to quiet the mind. Includes more movement than a yin or restorative class.

Flow Intro

Learn the fundamentals of a vinyasa style practice, where movement is linked with breath to create a flowing sequence. Expect to sweat in this class geared to those new to the yoga practice. Sun Salutations and basic postures will be a main focus, shared in many different creative ways. A general level of fitness and mobility is recommended.

Yoga 8

Yoga 8 is an $8 class taught by our teacher training graduates. Taught in the yin/yang style, the first half is a more athletic flow, followed by long held passive stretches.

Slow Deep Flow

Find some time to slow it down and tune in deeper with your own body and its needs in this beginner-friendly, athletic, slow, deep flow. In this heated class, you will practice through flow-style movement with an emphasis on each posture, engaging each area of the body to structure the pose to its fullest, while following the rhythm of your own deep, controlled breathing.

Gentle Hatha

A practice suitable for those with injuries or mobility issues. This class brings a supportive and intelligent approach to gently opening the body, learning to breathe more efficiently, and relieving the mind of stress and tension. This class asks you to tune in and be mindfully aware of what if happening in the body. It is often mostly floor based, with grounded, low poses, though may include some standing postures, finishing with a sweet Savasana. Expect little to no vinyasas.

Hatha

A practice suitable for all levels focusing on body alignment that strengthens, lengthens and provides stability. The practice provides a solid foundation to yoga poses and has you holding poses for longer periods of time. Hatha brings a supportive and intelligent approach to opening the body, learning to breathe more efficiently and relieving the mind of stress and tension. This class moves static posture to static posture, grounded, mid-level, and standing and balance postures included.

Flow & Restore

Join us for the perfect mix of gentle movement and deep relaxation. In the first half, we flow through sequences that warm the body, release tension, and increase flexibility. In the second half, we focus on longer, deep poses to let go of stored tension. Relaxation and rejuvenation are guaranteed as the nervous system calms. Our class offers the balance you need to find harmony and serenity.
